Family farm in the Shasta Cascade foothills raising heritage breeds of chickens, geese, and sheep as well as livestock guardian dogs. We raise black copper marans and blue splash marans chickens, which lay dark brown eggs, and 'Easter Eggers," which lay green eggs. Eating eggs and hatching eggs are available most of the year.
We have a small flock of Shetland-Navajo Churro cross sheep, which allows us to offer lambs for sale in the early to late fall. We hope to offer yarns soon. Shetlands and Navajo Churros are unimproved breeds, which means they are small, hardy, and sustainable. We aim to keep our flock small enough to minimize purchased hay for feed, preferring to let them graze on our large meadow.
Our goats provide kids and raw milk. We do sell raw milk but only for animal consumption at this time. Our lambs and kids are milk- and grass-fed.
