Located on 150 acres in rural Caswell County, the Yancey House Restaurant offers its guests a unique dining experience featuring an inventive menu that changes with the seasons. Inspired by her Louisiana and Texas roots, Chef Lucindy works with local farmers and gathers produce from the restaurant gardens and her farm at Two Turtles to create award winning cuisine with a southern awareness. The purpose of the competition, sponsored by NC Dept. of Agriculture and Our State Magazine, is to recognize and reward the efforts of restaurants and chefs who source and implement North Carolina products regularly in their menus along with increasing public awareness of the quality of food, restaurants and chefs in our state.
