Dried Yarrow Leaf and Flower: Infusions relieve digestive upsets. For colds, mix equal parts of yarrow, peppermint, & elderflower. Hot yarrow tea stimulates perspiration and is also excellent for decreasing menstruation during a particularly heavy flow. It is also used to regulate the menstrual cycle and ease pain. Yarrow can also be used in sitz baths to ease hemorrhoids or gynecological complaints. A compress can be applied to scrapes, cuts and bruises. Ointments have long been used for open skin sores.
Order dried leaves or flowers in 1/4 oz. resealable packages, or order fresh while in season.
