We are a small family farm located back a long, winding lane in the rolling countryside north of Waynesboro. We specialize in heirloom vegetable varieties for our CSA. In our opinion, they have superior flavor. Our farm is Certified Naturally Grown and everything is grown using organic methods from start to harvest. We grow all our own transplants as well. We plant a wide variety of vegetables and herbs to supply our CSA members so you don't get the same thing in your box every week. We like variety and we know you do too. Our CSA starts the end of May and runs until the end of October. We send out an email newsletter each week telling you what to expect in your box and a brief description of what's happening at the farm. We include recipes sometimes too. We're planning to have a farm tour/ tomato tasting day when all the members can get together sometime in August. It's always a fun day!
For those of you that don't like the idea of a CSA, we offer an organic buying club. The buying club orders on a bi-weekly basis year round. We email a list of available vegetables, fruit, meat and dairy every other week and buying club members pick how much of which items they want to order. There is no minimum order and you are not committed to an order each time. CSA members also have access to the buying club list so they can purchase other items that are not in their weekly box. You can be a member of the CSA, the buying club or both. Over the summer, the majority of vegetables for the buying club come from our farm or other local organic farms like Oylers Organic Farm. Over the winter when local produce is not readily available, we order from a national organic supplier. We have local, 100% grass fed beef, chicken and eggs from free range hens available year round as well. The beef and chicken is raised on certified organic pasture. The chickens are fed certified organic, soy free feed and have free range of our farm daily so they can eat all the bugs and grass they want.
We also grow heirloom vegetable and herb transplants for your garden. You can visit our website to look over the catalog of the varieties we grow. You can order them ahead of time to make sure you get the ones you want or you can stop by the farm from mid April thru early June and shop what's available.
Come join us this year with a CSA subscription or join our buying club.
