The 17th Street Farmers' Market, located in the heart of Richmond's Shockoe Bottom is currently under construction with completion in the Fall of 2017. Its goal is to serve as the neighborhood's producers market showcasing local growers and bakers. The 17th St Market is also a vibrant community space offering banner events such as Earth Day, Richmond Bacon Festival, RVA BrewBQ, Shockoe On-A-Half-Shell Oyster Festival, Kickin' Chicken WingFest, Day of the Dead, Brunswick Stew & Stout and Richmond Cider Celebration.

We look forward to welcoming you soon! Our 2018 farmers market hours of operation will be Wednesdays from 3-6:30pm.

The uniqueness and distinction of the 17th Street Market reaches back to the earliest days of the Commonwealth and our City. The native Powhatan peoples met to trade in the immediate vicinity of the Market at Shockoe Rock, a large rock at the confluence of Shockoe Creek and the James River. The Market continued as a major trade center and its current location served as the City's official farmers market starting in 1736 making it the oldest continuously operational farmers market in Virginia, and quite possibly the United States.

I can go to this at work. Also Patties Paradise Kiwi Spread and Buffalo Sticks are great.
