We apply medieval farming techniques in rearing our heritage breed Tamworth pigs by raising them in their natural habitat - the woods. With a ratio of 2-3 pigs per acre, they have plenty of room to roam around and forage for food. From birth until the time they are taken to a USDA butcher, our pigs live happily unconfined in the woods. Our sows even give birth in the woods! Because they eat nuts, berries, etc., they have a particularly wonderfully rich flavor and meaty texture. No hormones or antibiotics are used. The term free range or grass fed does not do justice to how we raise our pigs. This is why we prefer to describe our pigs as forest fed. We believe we provide the best quality pork available.
