Beardsley's Cider Mill & Orchard, LLC is a family run apple orchard and cider mill that opened in 1999. The Beardsleys have been farming this plot of land since 1849, growing everything from corn, hay, wine berries, and turkeys, to apples, peaches, plums, and a few pears.

Visitors can pick their own apples weekends from Sept thru Nov and watch fresh cider as its pressed on a state-of-the-art belt feed juice extractor. Free samples are available of hot mulled, or cold cider. Choose from over 40 varieties of apples including rare antique varieties planted in the early 1920s such as Baldwin, Golden Russett, Wagner, and Spitzenburg as well as the popular varieties like Macoun, Honeycrisp, Mutzu, and MacIntosh.

Local honey, fruit butters, jams and jellies are also available. You'll smell the 10 kinds of pies baking when you walk in, as well as awsome pumpkin cheesecakes, cider and pumpkin donuts. Unique gifts and crafts are also available.

Beardsley's Cider Mill is open daily from mis Sept to Dec 24th. Hours are week days noon to 6pm, and weekends 10am - 6 pm. Call ahead to find out which varieties are available at 203-926-1098. They are located on Rt 110 in the White Hills section of Shelton, CT, 4 miles from downtown and 3 miles from Rt 111 in Monroe.
