First Blog
This is the First Blog by the Sheep Farmer at Shady Hill Farms in Newbury, Ohio.

I have produced superior sheep and related products since 1964.
We have developed superior sheep genetics and superior yet traditional methods of production that produce a superior product every time.
Hence the tag line for the meat business I started, Great American Lamb Company: Better Farming, Better Lamb.
My son Bradley manages Great American Lamb Company and sells lamb and related products (sheep skins, heirloom quality 100% virgin wool blankets), also beef and pork full time.Folks tell him that our lamb is by far the best they have ever had.I take that as a complement because producing superior lamb every day requires that we get a whole lot right.
It all starts with the farming, and Shady Hill Farms handles the farming.In this blog I will share stories from the farm, the good and the bad of farm life on a family sheep farm in Newbury, Ohio.
