My Morning

My Morning

I went to get feed for the kids in another barn but between me and the feed was a slithery someone perched up on the wall above my head. I reversed, no way was I passing him while he was above me, no, no, NO! I HATE snakes!

It was time to take Smitha off the milk stand and let Peaches on. You must realize that Peaches is sweet, but she is certainly not the smartest tack in the box. She has some challenges, for instance even though she goes to the spot everyday from the same stall to milk she doesn’t always remember how to get there.
As I took Smitha to the gate to let her out after milking, I stopped opened Peaches stall so she could go onto the milking area. I was at the gate opening it for Smitha and thinking about that stupid snake when something grabbed my shirt from behind. I lost it! I was thinking snake and I got bit in mid snake thought. The gate opened, Smitha ran like lightening out the gate, I screamed jumped up and down and Peaches ran around me circling screaming as well.

It seems instead of going to the milk area she couldn’t find her way, so she snuck up behind me and grabbed my shirt. So now the barn is a 3 ring circus. One terrified screaming old fool thinking a snake had hold of her. A terrified and utterly confused goat who has lost her way and is convinced death has now found her and the terrified old lady. The other 3 goats yet to milk are standing on their hind legs looking over their stalls yelling because the terror in the barn must be headed their way so they just know they are going to die as well.
Mom who I remind you is 80 sticks her head out of the milking area to find out what all the screaming is about, only to be nearly flattened by Peaches who suddenly has remembered where the milking area is at.
When I gathered myself and made it back to the milking I had to explain to mom what all the screaming was. She laughed so hard it was 10 minutes before she could even milk again.

Welcome to my life!
