Choosing between Popular Versus Tropical Herbs and Veggies.Which one is Best PICK to GROW the EASIEST way?

Here is South Florida..The Hurricane season is still on as well as the GROWING season is getting ready to start.

Making plans which is the BEST and EASIEST top grow among veggies and herbs in the TROPICS is a challenge for the new comers but is it for the TROPICAL PROFESSIONAL URBAN FARMER?

Growing in containwers is the best bet to set up a garden in S.Florida given all the benefits I have basically talked about in my previous blog.

Comes to choosing among the varietis to grow best in CONTAINERS , we need EXPERT advice..A picture or a video speaks better than tons of words ,as they say!

 For a starter:

Check out the popular web for  growing FOOD in Containers in the TROPICS:

www.tropical-urban-farmer.com..

Take  a look at certain TROPICAL varieties like a veggie called CA La Loo ( similar to Spinash) ,  or Cuban Oregano and Neem herbs , all are https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=tropical+veggies+and+herbs+popular+growing+in+containers&qpvt=tropical+veggies+and+herbs+popular+growing+in+containers&view=detail&mid=93CBD68829D3B9C9AF9B93CBD68829D3B9C9AF9B&&FORM=VRDGAR displayed at the web pages of the Gallery and you tube videos then compare with a general VISUAL of a second opinion garden specialist ,https:

I personally grow Ca la loo in containers and they go tall as I am  past 6 feet..I start them from seeds in smaller container then transplant them into bigger containers feeding the SOIL rather the plant with my own COMPOST! I have pictures coming up soon to share with you..I had Daniel , a church friend, take cell phone pictures from my little back yard garden of the Amaranth Family Cal La loo plant as I was getting ready to move away into another place..A souvenir photo of my favorite TROPICAL veggie plant!

Here are more from a google source FYI:

Callaloo

Food
Callaloo

Callaloo is a popular Caribbean dish originating in West Africa served in different variants across the Caribbean. The main ingredient is a leaf vegetable, traditionally either amaranth, taro or xanthosoma. Both are known by many names, including callaloo, coco, tannia, bhaaji, or dasheen bush. Because the leaf vegetable used in some regions may be locally called "callaloo" or "callaloo bush", some confusion can arise among the vegetables and with the dish itself. In Haiti, for example, the creole word "kalalou" refers to okra, and not to a leafy green. Outside of the Caribbean, water spinach is occasionally used. Trinidadians, Grenadians and Dominicans primarily use taro/dasheen bush for callaloo, although Dominicans also use water spinach. Jamaicans, Belizeans and Guyanese on the other hand use the name callaloo to refer to amaranth, and use it in a plethora of dishes and also a drink. The 'callaloo' made in Jamaica is different from the 'callaloo' made in Trinidad and Tobago and Grenada in terms of main ingredient and other ingredients included.

Go grow food in containers and go TROPICAL..Bon appetite
