Winter time and the living is easy?

Just a quick introductory blog post to start out our Local Harvest Blog.

Go to our website for more info and our formal blog www.stevemoize.com the site is new as of late November 2011, so be patient.  We lost our old web address, somehow it was stolen and is now gone forever...why would a Japanese Fertility Clinic want our webe address?  Check out www.theshadygrovefarm.com for a laugh...

Well, it is winter here in the farm and usually a time to take it a bit easy...not the case for us this season.  I am sure you all remember the winter storms we had in 2010, followed by the Spring tornados and heavy wind/rains...well those storms destroyed a lot on the farm.  We took a beating, well the buildings did.  We totally lost our 100' greenhouse, had severe damage to our 50' greenhouse, lost a truck, the shed awnings on our barn came off, and all of our mobile chicken tractors were wrecked.

Well I do recall saying something about, "if I had it all to do over again I'd do so and so, or this and that differently."  Careful what you ask for, you just might get it is the old saying, and I got what I asked for...A DO OVER!

So it's winter time here on the farm but the living ain't gonna be easy this year, we still have a lot of work to do before the 2012 season sets in.  But I did ask for a do over and got my request, like it or not.  So we are making the best of it and working hard to make the farm even better than before.

SEE YOU IN 2012!

Stay tuned and we'll keep ya posted on whats happening.  Thanks, Steve
