Most days in winter are the picturesque kind. You know - big fat snowflakes drifting lazily down, fire crackling in the woodstove, hot chocolate and games spread out around the family room, cows cozily tucked in for the winter.

Then little bits of reality blow thru our bones. Cold, bitiing wind. Frozen water pipes and cow tanks. Driveways to plow. Sidewalks to shovel.  Vehicles that dont start. Yuck. We start looking forward to the warm days of spring. It is good for us to remember an age old adage from the Bible that never changes: there is a time fir every season under heaven. Yeah. It's all good and everything will be ok.....
