Loving February...as it's leaving

Well, it's just past the half way point in February and I'm dreaming of a day in May. The snow has been beautiful here in Fair Hill, MD. This Winter has had it's challenges with the frigid temperatures and many snowfalls. It's been nice to be able to walk in to one of our greenhouses and still have spinach and a few other greens survive the sub-zero temperatures. We're getting ready to gear up for our 2014 CSA Program, looking forward to a great year for growing, and hopefully a lot less of the usual  'bad" bugs in the gardens this year. Our hens just began laying "for real" again today. Instead of the one here and one there egg, this morning I was delightfully surprised to gather 8 eggs which I happily poached for our breakfast. "Thanks Ladies".

I am So Grateful to have the time to work on our new website and plan the gardens for our vast variety of fruits, vegetables and flowers which we will grow on our farm in 2014.  Once the weather changes and the days are longer, most days will be spent working in the Earth which is where my true passion lies.

Peace to All who pass this way, Nancy
