Morning Hightlight: Pulling four brown eggs out of the chicken house. Still waiting for the hold out hen to deliver the goods. I think Mrs. Yellow feet is a late bloomer., Morning highlight -going to the hen house and pulling out four brown eggs. Still waiting for the hold out chicken to deliver the goods-problably the hen with the yellow feet. On to the chore of cutting Willow trees. They love to drink water so they must "go" and now before the spring rains fill up the pond. Several trees removed and put into a burn pile; though the willows fought back with switches to the face. Hoping that scars add character to a ranchers face. While checking out the herd, "El Toro", the bull and his harum checked us out. As we sat and watched;El Toro managed to perform personal hygiene. A stick on the rack of the four wheeler worked as a Q-tip. As the bull was rubbing on the end on the stick it inserted into his ear pulling out the glob of wax-yuck! Another good day at the ranch!!
