Welcome to March...spring is just a few days away! You may have been wondering how Duchess Farms will make its organically-grown flowers available to our local community or just how to get your hands on fresh-cut locally-grown flowers in the area. We are happy to announce that our flowers will be available this growing season through two different types of memberships. You may have heard of a model popular with small farms called vegetable CSAs (community supported agriculture). Under this model the customer/member generally joins in the winter/early spring before the growing season starts.Their payment helps the farm to purchase seeds and other supplies for the coming year. In return for your investment in our farm, you will receive access to the best we have to offer in the form of a Members Only Market Share or a Bouquet CSA Share. By purchasing direct from our farm, members support their local economy, foster community support, join us in becoming stewards of the land and help local farms like ours continue to grow. When you join our Members Only Market or purchase a Bouquet CSA Share, you’ll be getting only blooms that have been grown without any synthetic chemicals because sustainable practices our our top priority. We grow our flowers right here in South Brunswick and they are usually picked and conditioned the same morning as members get their share! With Mother's Day around the corner, why not consider a member or bouquet share as a gift? Or just treat yourself to the gift of flowers! Subscriptions make excellent gifts. All purchases are confirmed within 48 hours. If you are giving a Members Only Market Share or Bouquet CSA Subscription as a gift, we can provide a customized electronic gift card. Shares are limited.
