We have a herd of tested clean, pasture raised dairy goats and a number of free roaming, brown egg laying chickens. All animals are treated as humanely as possible and given the best foods that can be had locally. Dairy goat shares can be purchased as available. Other items that become available are dairy goats (young/old/male/female), milk to shareholders only, chickens/eggs, and produce from the garden. Manure for gardening is available at most times. We usually receive visitors during school sessions (Wilson County extended schedule), Mon-Fri 5p.m.- 7p.m., Sat. 9 a.m.-5p.m. Sun. - by special appointment only. During the intersession breaks, availability is a little more flexible. Please give us a call or email to schedule date/time. I DO provide special "training" sessions, by appointment, on general goat, or poulty keeping, butchering techniques, and can work one on one with persons interested in some canning of garden produce later on in the year. I work from the Ball Blue Book of Canning in case you want to bring your own copy.
