Dietz Produce is a family-run business that has supplied our local community with fresh fruits and vegetables for over 40 years. We have a stand at York's Central Market House. While we are not certified organic, we have not used herbicides in over thirty years and ceased using conventional pesticides in the 2001 growing season. At the Central Market stand, we sell mostly shipped certified organic produce over the winter, and a combination of our homegrown and organic produce during the summer. You will not find any genetically modified, bioengineered, or otherwise Frankensteinized food at our stand. As far as I'm concerned, "GMO" stands for making a General Mess Of things. In an act of solidarity with small farmer cooperatives in the two-thirds world, we sell Fair Trade coffee, tea, cocoa and chocolate (much of it is organic). This gives small farmers a fair deal, enabling them to become more self-sufficient. While many of our varieties are hybrids, we grow more than a dozen kinds of heirloom tomatoes. We are committed to treating the earth and its Creator with respect. It is a privilege and a sacred trust to care for the land and the people it sustains. We are open year-round at Central Market.
Sorry, we DO NOT ship our products. This is a small local business, where the customers come to us.

I have shopped at Dietz Produce at their East Market St stand for many years. I am always pleased with the quality. I always go out of my way to buy Organic, NON GMO, wildcrafted, pasture raised, no chemicals.... [more]

I live less than a mile from the Dietz's place and go there on a regular basis for sweet corn, peaches, green beans, etc. The owners are amish and very nice. Great prices and worth stopping for!
