At Frogtown Urban Farm we recognize that the vast majority of people do not have access to homegrown fruits & vegetables, and that many don't realize that the produce purchased at our grocery stores can be several weeks old, grown in another country, and/or absent of much of it's original nutritional value. We must move the farms to the inner city if we want to eat more nutritious food at a fair and reasonable price! Frogtown Urban Farm is a small backyard farm in Silverlake, near the Los Angeles River in east Los Angeles. We grow and harvest vegetables, fruit, eggs, honey, cottage goods, microgreens and medicinal herbs. All of our vegetables are grown from seed and germinated in the soil or in our on-site greenhouse. We host a one-stop-shopping farm stand each week where we donate/sell/give away/trade our locally-sourced fresh produce, fruit, and cottage goods. We encourage you to stop by and be part of our neighborhood farm stand. We have a space for you at our farmstand where you can sell your homegrown veggies and fruit or simply shop for your own needs. We fresh coffee and tea in the morning!

Our intention is to provide fresh, nutritious food, grown in the community that we live. We encourage our neighbors to shop and sell at our farmstand and become part of our community by participating at our classes, supporting our neighborhood one-stop-shopping farm stand, and becoming involved with our community by engaging others to start their own small urban gardens! Check out our community workshops like the focaccia breadmaking class and pie making!!!

Schedule and Location:

We generally have a minifarmstand on Saturday morning from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Please check the website or call 747-228-6201. You can also email frogtownurbanfarm@gmail.com
