Cranberry Infused Vodka

Two years ago our local NPR station aired an interview with a chef named James Norton, talking about how he uses fresh cranberries. One of his suggestions was to infuse them in vodka, for use in all kinds of winter cocktails.

Here's his recipe.

My husband loved the idea and brewing a big batch of cranberry vodka quickly became one of our holiday traditions. We make a simple cranberry vodka tonic with it, which makes a beautiful and delicious drink. Try some yourself this year, and next year you may decide to make extra to give to friends for holiday gifts!

Two LocalHarvest farmers still have cranberries available. The quantities are much larger than what you'll need for this recipe, so you'll have plenty to tuck in the freezer for baked goods and other treats through the winter.
