What a nice place to visit!

I am so happy that we made the trip out to the Whitfields today. I brought along my daughter and the two girls that I am a nanny of. My friend and her son also joined us. The older kids and us adults got to experience getting right up close to the hives and watch it be taken apart. We could see the honey inside and watch how hard the bees truely work.
It was a very informative visit for us. We learned quite a bit about how honey is made and how a hive works. Also, we learned some interesting things about chickens that we never knew. Other miscellaneous things that we were interested in too. Bryan is very good at explaining things, even so that the kids could understand. He took his time and was very patient with us and answered all of our questions. The older girls are very inquisitive so they asked A LOT of questions. They said they learned a lot, though. We all really enjoyed it.
We definately want to continue to visit, especially for the honey. As soon as we got it home we tasted it in spoonfuls... YUMMM!!! I can't wait to try it in my oatmeal in the morning. Bryan also told us of different ways to use honey, such as in coffe and in cooking/baking. I will try those sometime soon too.
