Shadowood Farm, Inc. of Palm City, FL provides people with a place to grow their own organic vegetables and herbs from October through April/May. We also offer retail sales for organic vegetable starter plants, seeds, and other organic growing supplies for home gardeners.

The Shadowood Organic Food Garden opened in October of 2010 and the response has been wonderful. Our Gardeners all share the desire to learn how to produce their own fresh, organic food and come to the farm to be active participants. The growing experience is shared by people in a hands-on environment, with various "how to" workshops and personal supervision.

We offer four different types of garden plots. The small plots are 6' x 12'. The large plots are either 12' x12' or 6' x 24'. This season we are also offering Communal Gardens, which are large spaces shared by multiple people. The spaces are filled with wonderfully rich soil and all have automatic mist irrigation. There is a monthly rental fee as well as other expenses for supplies. Each gardener gets to decide what they want to grow and learn how to grow it. All seeds and starts must be Non-GMO and only approved OMRI rated products may be used for pest and fungal issues.

Our 5th season of collective gardening begins on September 27th, 2014. Classes and workshops begin in early September. We open again for retail sales on Tuesday, September 16th. Please visit our website for more details and hours.
