Star Gazing Farm is a sanctuary that takes in neglected, abused, and stray farm animals and offers educational work programs to youth and adults. PLEASE NOTE: We do not sell animals.

Products & Services: Wool/alpaca products: roving, yarn, hand-woven rugs, knitted garments. Composted manure Shearing services (sheep, goats, alpacas, and llamas) Rabbit boarding (inside the home).

We also make and sell catnip toys, wool cat toys, nesting balls for wild birds, lavender sachets, ceramics (farm themed), and exsquisite hand-woven baskets.

We work with animal control and other animal agencies to place unwanted farm animals in hobby farm and sanctuary settings.We run a work and learn program for local youth, training them both in basic farming techniques and humane handling of animals. We also have a therapeutic learning program for youth at risk from DC. The farm is generally open on Saturdays between 10 and 2, but it's best to call first. We love pets, but please leave yours at home.

We welcome volunteers, and hold new volunteer orientations once a month.
