Teresa's Fruit and Herbs is a very small, but very diverse farm located in the Mackinaw Valley in central Illinois. We grow about 25 kinds of fruit, 30 kinds of culinary and tea herbs, over 150 varieties of vegetable and herb starts, as well as some flowers. We specialize in vegetable and herb plant starts in the spring and fruit and herbs when they are in season. We also make and sell jams, teas, and goat milk soaps made with home grown fruit, herbs, and goat milk, year 'round. Organic practices are used everywhere on our farm. We sell our vegetable and herb starts at the Evanston Farmers' Market, the Peoria Riverfront Market, and through a 100 member CSA based in Bloomington, Peoria, Morton, and Eureka. Most of our fresh fruit is sold to our CSA members. Extra fresh fruit and herbs, as well as the teas are also available at the Peoria Riverfront Market. We offer full time internships for hard-working people with a desire to learn how to farm organically. We also offer part time hourly work.
Variety is our specialty! Each year we grow about 90 kinds of tomato starts, 45 kinds of hot and sweet peppers, 10 kinds of eggplants, 40 kinds of herbs and much more for your own vegetable garden. For a complete list of all of our plant starts, including all kinds of brassicas, squash, cucumbers, and more details about ordering them, please see our website.
