The Oasis on Redland's Mesa is a burgeoning biodynamic permaculture farm, situated in a canyon on the Western Slope of Colorado, that has been in exixtance for a year and a half. Our focus is on sustainable development through intentional community. We curently have one acre under cultivation that is irrigated by spring water. Most of our 75 acres is preserved as wildlife habitat, however our garden is ever expanding to our goal of aprox. 5 acres of biodiverse cultivation, including fruit trees, berries, medicinal herbs, as well as annual vegetable crops. We are more of a permaculture "garden" than a traditional "farm". Currently we are seeking interns who are motivated and interested in learning, as well as sharing their knowledge, in a community environment. The Oasis is blessed with year 'round water in the form of creeks (2 comprising aprox. of 1 mile of creek) and drinking springs, as well as 60 acres of forested land. Feel free to contact us at (970) 835-4317.
