3 Rivers Farm

Tucked neatly between the scenic Santa Fe, legendary Suwannee, and pristine Ichetucknee Springs Rivers, 3 Rivers Farm is a family-owned, 5-acre, fruit and vegetable farm located on the outskirts of Lake City, Florida. It was initially part of a much larger, 100-acre pear orchard and, according to local historians, was divided up into smaller parcels when its original owners decided to retire. We stumbled upon the property in our journey out of urban homesteading into small farm sustainability and knew immediately we had found home. With a keen eye on becoming part of Lake City's (and the surrounding areas') local food system and our own personal goal of small farm sustainability, 3 Rivers Farm is in a perpetual state of progress. On any given day, we can be found wearing multiple hats - farmer, carpenter, mechanic, electrician, irrigation specialist, fence installer, office worker, salesperson, marketing director, husband, wife, and loving parents to our 3 mini-Dachschunds and 35 laying hens. We often go to bed weary and bone tired. But we always go to bed with smiles on our faces, excited about what the next day will bring, and satisfied that we made the right choice in our journey to become small farmers. Our current products are pesticide and chemical-free pears, both eating and canning, and pastured, organically-fed, soy-free chicken eggs. In the coming months, with some hard work, luck, and bit of good weather, we plan on being able to provide you and your family with a seasonal assortment of locally-grown, pesticide- and chemical-free fruits and vegetables. In addition to offering farm-fresh produce and eggs through local farmer's markets, a community-supported agriculture (CSA) program, food co-ops, and our own farmstand, it is also our goal to become involved in the larger local food community through farm tours, educational workshops, farm-to-table dinners, and other farm-sponsored community awareness events.
