The 9 Bean Rows restaurant is located in the red historic firehouse at 303 St. Joseph Street in downtown Suttons Bay - also known as the Suttons Bay Hose House. It's a quirky old building full of history, charm, and soul. Our kitchen offers a full made-from-scratch menu developed by co-owner and chef, Paul Carlson, that promotes locally grown, seasonal ingredients (the menu changes frequently), and we have a full bar featuring some of our favorite local breweries, cideries, and wineries. During warmer weather, visitors can sit street-side and people watch, or enjoy time with friends and family under an umbrella on our cozy back patio. We also carry artisan breads and pastries, delivered from our bakery, fresh each morning, to enjoy with a cup of coffee or tea.

At 9 Bean Rows, we are dedicated to growing healthy and delicious food for our community in an environmentally and economically sustainable model. 9 Bean Rows cultivates food not commodities. With that in mind, the nutritional content and flavor of our vegetables is at the top of our priority list. We have 1.5 acres in production in various locations throughout Leelanau County, that provides produce for the Leelanau County School System, our 9 Bean Rows Café.
