After the Harvest rescues nutritious fruits and vegetables from going to waste and donates them to agencies that serve hungry people, primarily in Greater Kansas City. Our volunteers glean after the harvest, picking what's left in farmers' fields and picking up already harvested leftover produce. The majority of the funds we raise helps secure semi-truckloads of donated produce that might otherwise end up in landfills. After the Harvest, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is the largest local produce donor to Harvesters The Community Food Network. Learn more at aftertheharvestkc.org.

Products and Crops

Do you enjoy being out in a field in the early morning? Would you like to harvest produce for those in need in your community?
Then come glean with After the Harvest! We glean produce from farms/gardens within 45 minutes of the Kansas City Metro May-November three times a week on Tues, Thur, and Sat mornings.

Not interested in getting your hands dirty but still want to help? Volunteer to pickup already harvested produce from farmer's markets and farms by becoming a produce rescue driver! Currently we pick up weekly from City Market, Overland Park, Lenexa, Brookside, Parkville, and Lawrence Clinton Parkway.
