Crooked Creek Sheep and Wool Farm is home to a variety of creatures, including sheep, horses, chickens, and dogs (in addition to humans). We raise cross-bred sheep with Suffolk, Rambouillet, and Finn and Cormo backgrounds. Sheep are housed outdoors in large pastures and are rotationally grazed for up to 10 months of the year. Ewes enjoy a large run-in shed with outdoor access and plenty of good hay during the worst of the winter and lamb indoors in individual pens.
We sell lamb and wool, both of which can be seen and purchased from our web site shop from the shop tab. Lamb is USDA processed and is available locally by the cut or in multiple bundle configurations. We also have mutton sausage in multiple varieties from savory to spicy, a great low fat alternative to pork sausage. Wool and wool products, including washed fleece, handspun yarn, mill-spun yarn, botanically dyed yarn, felted slippers, oven mitts rugs and other useful items are also available in our web store. We will ship wool products, but lamb purchases are restricted to our local delivery area, a 20 mile radius surrounding Ithaca, NY. We can accommodate on site pick-up if you happen to be in the area.
