Our meat CSA starts in June and runs the full year through the following May. Box contents are seasonal and include chicken in summer, lamb in winter, and pork year-round.

Pick up shares monthly at several locations in Portland, in West Linn, Newberg, on the farm in Scio, or ask us about adding a location. Picking up at the Albany Farmers market in summer is a possibility.

The share is ten (10) pounds each month of a seasonal selection of whole and half chickens, lamb, and pork cuts from our farm. All animals are raised naturally outdoors on pasture and in the forest and USDA processed by local butchers.

An example share might include a 4 pound chicken, 1 pound of country-style bacon, a 3 pound pork shoulder roast, and 2 thick-cut pork chops. Or a share might include a 3 pound lamb roast, 1 pound of ground lamb, 2 pounds of ham steaks, 1 pound of breakfast sausage, 1 pound of bacon, and 2 thick-cut pork chops.

In addition to the regular share, members are entitled to a share of your choice of extras like soup bones and organ meats, at no additional cost.

Substituting one kind of meat for another is not allowed, but you are welcome to opt out of individual items. For example, you could opt out of bacon and ham if you are on a low salt diet.

You can join anytime we have an opening, but we do value the share based on a full year, so you will not get everything everyone else does if you join late. We also invoice 3 months in advance starting in March, (March invoice pays for June share), so late starts will see some larger invoices until you catch up. There is an annual fee in the winter/spring to help with extra farm costs.

Our pickup locations are at members' houses and we do not give out their addresses publicly online: contact us for more information.

"Full cost share": Includes a variety of sausages and bacon and ham, some half chickens as well as whole, and generally more of the "nicer" (more expensive) cuts of lamb and pork. The extra cost of the full share helps us pay to have bacon, ham, and sausage made, the cost of which has gone up in recent years.

"Basic share: Whole chickens, as much variety of pork and lamb cuts as we can manage while giving preference to the full share subscribers, and might include ground pork but generally does not include sausage or bacon.

We offer a 10 percent discount for families with children. We support you raising kids who eat good local food. Regular CSA payment is $110 Basic, $130 Full cost. Thank you for helping us support local families. We do also offer discounts for saving us a trip and picking up your own share at the farm.

We are a family-owned and -operated small diversified livestock farm. We raise grass-fed lambs and sheep, forest- and pasture-foraging pigs, and free-range meat chickens and meat ducks. Our naturally-raised livestock and holistic farm management focus help us improve and regenerate the soil health and ecology on our farm.
