Garlic for planting is our main crop at Afternoon Zephyr Farm. We also sell table garlic and are working on making black garlic. We are in the Evans Creek Valley off Oregon's beautiful Rogue River. Our soil is not very rich, but that makes for excellent garlic. Our climate is "Mediterranean" so our stock grows well even in areas with mild winters.
We specialize in garlic varieties that do not need cold winters to produce excellent bulbs. In addition to the expected softneck varieties, we do have some hardneck varieties that do well in warm winter areas. Those hardneck varieties include a number of hard to find Creole varieties.
In the past we have sold through Gourmet Garlic Gardens and recommend their site for a wealth of garlic information.

We sell seed garlic thru local garden centers as well as mail order. Table garlic is sold through local advertisements.
Afternoon Zephyr Farm is on a south facing slope in Southwestern Oregon. The soil is poor because of leaching during the generous winter rains and poor natural plant growth during the heat of summer. We add minimal amounts of organic material as fertilizer to produce good, strong garlic for our customers to plant or eat.
