Here at Quarry Critters Alpaca Ranch we are proud to offer high quality alpacas, with superior support and education to new breeders.

We offer fleece that has been shorn from our own animals as well as unique handcrafted items. Alpacas are shorn once a year yielding roughly five to ten pounds of fiber. After only minimal preparation it is ready to be spun into yarn or used to make felt.

Alpaca fiber is very soft, rivaling cashmere and angora for fineness therefore reducing the "prickle factor". Many individuals who are allergic to wools find that they are able to wear garments made from alpaca fiber, with out a problem.

Alpaca fiber is naturally flame retardant and will not absorb water into the fiber itself.

Alpacas are gentle by nature, easy to care for, and are a great way to enhance your life, no matter where you live.
