I have 50 laying hens and sell brown eggs along with some green and blue eggs. They eat green forage all year long, during winter months they eat 2nd cutting chaff along with their feed and during the warm months they are outside foraging on fresh grass in a rotation to keep them clean and eating the best forage possible. The grain I feed is local ohio grown and freshly ground. I also raise meat chickens each summer.
My farm operation is within the farm that my father manages. We make quality first and second cutting hay and sell all year long. We also raise beef calves to sell for others to raise and butcher cattle to sell by the quarter, half, and whole. We have some freezer beef as well. We sell sweet corn at a road side stand July-September.
We also make maple syrup. All of our farm endeavors are environmentally responsible and our livestock is well cared for without use of antibiotics and hormones.

I have been shopping Waxwings stand at the farm market two years running now and am thrilled with the produce and the farmers! Looking forward to the 2012 season.

Waxwing Farm provides fresh eggs that are reasonably priced and very tasty. Ms. Baker is very knowledgeable about her chickens and can answer any questions you have about the eggs.
