Avid Farms

We are a new farm located in Sheridan specializing in pasture raised chicken and turkey. Our cornish cross chickens are raised on locally grown feed which is carefully portioned to allow this fast-growing meat breed to live a healthy and happy life. Our cornish cross birds have none of the leg and heart problems often seen with the breed and are normally slaughtered when they are between 9 and 12 weeks old. They live out on our pasture in floorless pens that are moved at least once per day at sunrise, and they are not given any synthetic anything. When the time comes, we slaughter on-farm in a humane and respectful manner.
