Bear Foods Market is a specialty grocery store stocking quality food products including organic, gluten free and vegan options, many sourced locally. We also carry an extensive range of nutritional supplements, skin care and well-being products, as well as bulk goods that help make feeding your family that bit more affordable. Established in 1973. Charlie Bear was the founder of Bear Foods, originally a wholesale food outlet that grew over time into a diverse and unique one-stop shop. Now stocking everything from beer and wine to artisan chocolates, fine cheeses, delightful local preserves, and everything in between, we even mix our own breakfast cereals that have become a staple in several local hotels! When we bought Bear Foods we had a vision to actualize a cafe that would compliment the store and provide a unique dining experience, where everyone could eat. Inspired by living in Europe, Co-owner Teresa had the idea for crepes and Co-owner Nick developed the batter, inspired by the needs of customers, free of the usual suspects (wheat, milk, eggs, etc.). We knew we were on to something: a batter both savory and nutritious and allergy free! We use the best ingredients, direct from the store. Good food really can be that simple.
