We are a small-batch honey processor, harvesting several hundred pounds per year, and we delight in separating out the local Pennsylvania flavor profiles of our hives. We also carry small supplies of beeswax, hand-dipped/hand-poured beeswax candles, and raw propolis.
We harvest three times per year: last weekend of spring (third week of June for Black Locust and Spring Blossom Honey), mid-July for Summer Flower Honey, and late-September for Fall Flower, Goldenrod, and Autumn Aster Honey. We also offer special garden infusions like Black Elderberry Honey with Rosehips.
Our honey is unfiltered and never pasteurized, though we do gently warm our honey back to its liquid state at a controlled summer hive temperature once it begins to crystallize. Spring/summer honey typically begins to crystallize several months after harvest. Fall honey starts to crystallize several weeks after harvest. The best time to purchase raw liquid honey is late-July and mid-October. We offer both liquid honey and raw crystallized honey year-round or until supplies run out.
Beekeeper's Garden is registered with the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture. We primarily market our products through our online store for local pickup and free weekend delivery (within 10 miles of our apiary). We also ship via UPS to locations across the United States.
