Are you a Vallejo resident looking for fresh, local, sustainable food options? Well then we have the eggs for you! Beginning in May we will be offering shares in our new monthly subscription program. Twice daily we collect our beautiful multi-colored jewels of eggie goodness from our flock of heritage hens. Our free ranging girls are fed organic feed and a variety of food scraps, organically grown greens and veg from our garden, worms from the worm farm, and occasionally insects they find as they wander the garden. We also grow our own freshly sprouted barley fodder, which they get fed several days a week. yum! The supplements they regularly receive are organic hen scratch, oyster shell for calcium needs, kelp meal, and black oil sunflower seeds. We are antibiotic free and practice sustainable methods. Our eggs are available for pickup at Moschetti's coffee during Saturday morning coffee tastings, for $8 a dozen. We also offer a monthly subscription of four dozen for $25 a month, pickup pre-arranged or at Moschetti's on Saturday mornings.
