Taproot Farm (at the Permaculutre Skills Center)

Taproot Farms is the home of the Permaculture Skills Center. Everything we do here has education and demonstration in mind. We offer several apprenticeship programs in advanced sustainable farming and landscaping. Visitors are welcome on volunteer days - Wednesday and Saturdays from 10-2. Call first to confirm Saturday work days please. We hold occasional public tours and can schedule customized private group tours to fit your needs. Check our website for scheduled public tour dates and times. There is a lot to learn here, from rainwater storage and various compost methods to rotational pasture and beekeeping. Our farm stand is open Thursday afternoons and our CSA begins in May. We currently have an abundance of fresh free-range eggs, a variety of greens, and a few early crops.
