How and Why Regenerative Farming Works?
Whether you call it Biodynamic, Biological, Organic (needs certification), Regenerative or Permaculture, the goal of regenerative natural methods is to WORK WITH and BALANCE the soil's NATURAL CYCLES and biome (living ecosystem including worms, bugs and microbes) for LONG-TERM SYMBIOTIC HEALTH of the soil (and therefore, its produce offerings), instead of trying to FIGHT and CONTROL soil ecosystems for Higher SHORT-TERM YIELD (QUANTITY) as in conventional farming using pesticides, chemical inputs and heavy soil amendments and disruptions. Interestingly, there is data that shows focusing on the long-term health (biodiversity) of the soil ecosystem results in not only tastier and more nutritious products but also more profitable yields. After all, fertile, biodiverse soil is the main provider of beneficial nutrients to the crops that we consume.
