2016 Plum Creek Farm CSA       You can now join online at: http://www.plumcreekfarmohio.com Or read the following and mail back the form at the bottom and first payment. Our 2016 CSA will run from May until October with pick ups on Sundays, May 22, June 5, June 12, June 19, June 26, July 10, 17, and 24, August 14, 21, 28, September 11, 18, 25, October 9, and 16, and a special Thanksgiving CSA share including a turkey up to 14lbs and fresh, frozen, and canned fruits and veggies on Tuesday, November 22. Shares will include a wide variety of veggies, herbs, poultry, beef, pork, fruits and berries, nuts, honey, jams and canned produce, soaps, flowers, ice cream, handmade fudge and other treats, and any other item the farm is producing at the time.    Meat and 1 dozen free range brown eggs will be included with every share. Members can expect 1-2 large reusable Plum Creek produce bags per week of wholesome food as well as tips and recipes for preserving and preparing the harvest. Expect farmer’s market quality and variety at a lower cost and with the convenience of simply picking it up each week.   An initial payment of $150. is required to join.  Four subsequent payments of $250 will be due on April 15, June 1, July 15th, and September 1st.   Pick ups will be on Sundays at Plum Creek Farm at 11am. The first pick up on May 22 will be at 1pm. Please join us for a farm tour. Snacks will be provided along with a tour and your first share.   Members will receive emails detailing the contents of their weekly share on or before Saturdays each week and may request to purchase additional items or alter their pick up day or time by replying to that email, calling or texting.   Members get first priority at additional items before they are offered to the general public.  Members can also join our “Plumcreek Farm” Facebook page to get information about their share, farm happenings, and share tips and recipes with members.     Member's Commitment: ?In becoming a member of Plum Creek Farm CSA, I understand that I am making a financial commitment for the 2016 season by sharing the cost of farming with the farmer. I understand Plum Creek Farm offers one standard share; it does not offer half shares.   We welcome members to split a share between someone they know, but the farm does not involve itself in the process (we cannot divide things etc.) I understand that there are no refunds.?I understand that no portion of my membership is tax deductible.?I understand that having a Plum Creek Farm Membership guarantees a weekly share of the harvest. I understand that if I have any questions about membership that I must contact the farm for answers before joining.?I understand that due to weather, pests, predators, family illness and other hazards of farming that the actual harvest amounts will vary and that Plum Creek Farm will make every effort to ensure a successful season but make no guarantees as to the total value or amount of produce provided over the course of the 2016 season. I understand that shares cannot be personalized. ?I understand that the farm has set pickup times and if I can not pick up my items I may send a friend or family member, or arrange an alternate pick up by Wednesday of that week otherwise my reserved items will be forfeited.?I understand that for a variety of reasons not all requests for memberships may be granted and my check may be returned.?I understand that Plum Creek Farm is private property, not a retail establishment, park, petting farm or recreational area and that no one is permitted to wander about the property unattended, enter barns, or touch equipment and animals without an owner present.?I agree to respect the farm property and to leave no children or pets unattended.?I agree not to hold Plum Creek Farm responsible for any injuries, accident, damages or liabilities while on the premises.?
