Washington Farmers Coop in Abingdon, VA are hosting chick days.  On April 19th or 20th we will have day old chicks at the store.  The line up includes White Leghorns,  Araucanas, Golden Comets, Buff Orpingtons, Silver Laced Wyandottes, Speckle Sussex, Black Giant Jerseys, and Rhode Island Reds. We have decided to do another round of ordering Pullets (Red Stars) at Washington Farmers in Abingdon, Va.  These orders must be in and paid for by March 30th.  The hatchery is selling out quicker then we expected so get your orders in as soon as possible. Time has finally arrived to start this season.  We know that we are going to raise the broilers again but we might just do only ones that pre-order because of the problem we had last year with freezer space. But as for that everything this year is going to be the same. So if you are interested in getting your chickens this year please email me with the amount you would want so we can plan for this year.

I work at Southern States or Washington Farmers Coop in Abingdon, Va. We are holding chick days at our store this year.  We are getting 17 week old Red Star Pullets they are about 3 weeks from laying the cost is $7.00 + tax each. We are also pre ordering baby chicks but you have to buy them in lots of 15 to get the breed you want.  We are running a special that if you buy 15 of the chicks or pullets we will give you $1.00 off a bag of chicken feed from the time you get your chicks until May 1st 2010.
