This Monday, 8/25 the Tonopah PTA will be selling Baked Potatoes and Chili - as Meals. All the proceeds will go towards supporting this great organization. The Tonopah PTA is a valuable resource for your child's school! Each year the PTA sponsors Santas Workshop, assemblies, Boxtops for education, and provides numerous support services to both students and teachers! Please come and join us! Our meetings are the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 6:00-7:00p.m.

SPECIAL EVENT: PLANT SWAP Come to the PLANT SWAP at the Tonopah Farmers Market this Monday! The Plant Swap will be from 4 to 6 pm. Drop off a healthy indoor or outdoor plant and take home a plant that someone else dropped off for free. This is the perfect opportunity for people to thin out their gardens or house plants and create a fresh look with plants from others. After 6:00, all plants that are leftover will be sold, with proceeds going toward the Tonopah Farmers Market.

On her Fb page, Jean writes, “My parents were old school country folks that gave me a strong 'truth' ethic, to do and think for myself, a belief in Our Creator, and how to make things. Daddy was a carpenter and mechanic, and was good at both. Momma cooked, canned, crocheted, knitted and whatever other crafty thing she thought was interesting! I picked up her side well, and a little of the carpentry and mechanic ability from Daddy. I think I was 5 when I picked up a crochet hook and yarn for the first time. I have been making things pretty much my entire life and I love doing it!”
