Did Shertz need a new Farmers Market?

Well now after 6 successful and growing years of providing the People of Shertz and the surrounding communities with a sustainable Year around Farmers Market. It has been decided by those that decide,(George Logan, Park Director)  that a new group can do better than we. Granted that this new market is a " grow you own" market  Which is commendable, to say the least. Now they grow some pretty greens, and you may see some Tomatoes by May.

There is a long list of probables on the LocalHarvest Site. What they won't have is POTEET STRAWBERRIES, BLACKBERRIES, FREDRICKSBURG PEACHES, CANTALOUPE FROM DEVINE OR PECOS, CITRUS FROM THE VALLEY. are we missing out? Let us not forget (please) Vine ripen, juice running down your hand, salt shaker if you please! YEAR AROUND TEXAS TOMATOES. Grown on our farms, also Three Rivers, Fredricksburg and when the rest of the world suffers inn the cold winter months of gas green toms. from ????? somewhere???? You have allways been able to get Ft. Davis Texas Vine ripe tomatoes at The Shertz Farmers Market.  DO NOT FRET, WE WILL SOON BE AT A NEW LOCATION IN SHERTZ, we will keep you posted.
