We will open for the 2012 season tomorrow and most of our ducks are in a row. Central Ave. will be the site again this year and several new businesses have opened downtown as well as 3 new restaurants. The ancient Magnolia's are blooming as well as beautiful flowering cherries, which makes the street festive and uniquely enchanting. The architecture of historic buildings adds to the experience as well.
New for this year will be an on-site coffee roaster, more fruit vendors and dried herbs and several new produce vendors.
Plant starts, trees, bushes, citrus and early vegetables like peas, greens, onions, beets, spinach and rhubarb will be available.
Weather prediction for tomorrow is sunny and that is exciting as weather is variable and changes quickly.
Shoppers can expect a brisk business in the morning and the best selection of produce from 9 a.m. to noon although the excitement of the first offerings of the season might be huge. The lunch hour is a popular time for people to shop as well, we have an on-site barbeque master who is very popular at lunch time.
