Bluegrass Farmers Market

Today is Thursday and that means the Willow Oak market will be open from 3 until 6. Here's the market report from Tom of Emnett Acres...he's the go to guy when it comes to the Willow Oak market location! :)

“Our market wares covered the full spectrum of cane fruits and blueberries from Caludis, as well as Judi's homemade preserves.

I will have a good supply of Jade snap beans.

Rejoicing will have both Blue Lake and Tema beans to compliment their tomatoes.

Clark will have plenty of squash varieties, including the usual Pattie Pan.

Kathy Claibourne (sp) will have both water melons as well as cantelope.

Jones can be counted on to provide half runner beans and a good supply of sweet corn.

Our Thursday market had very good traffic until the am sharp thunderstorm hit a little after four. I an Kit Blake will be there again next week, and anyone else who wants is very welcome to come and sell.

As you can see by Tom's report, the Willow Oak location is a great second location for the Bluegrass Farmers' Market and it looks like the Saturday Willow Oak market will be a busy place!

We'll be set up in the beautiful tree lined parking lot of Pedal the Planet and Fast Signs, right next door to the Glenn Auto Mall on Richmond Rd. It's just a hop, skip and a jump outside of Man 'O War Blvd. Parking is right there so you don't have to drive around hunting for a spot to park. The parking lot is also paved and that makes it very stroller and wheelchair friendly!
