I sat down this morning and made a list of some of the items available this Saturday at the Bluegrass Farmers' Market and noticed that we had almost everything from A to Z! Have to admit that the only “Q” I could come up with was Quince and I don't think anyone at our market is making quince jam, so I had to fudge on that letter and use the word quality...something we all strive for at our market! The letter “U” stumped me too and then I thought of the tomatoes that aren't perfectly round and red...our farmers sell them as “seconds” even though there is absolutely nothing wrong with their innards! The only other letter that I had trouble with was “X” and it really bugged me so I started a search and found out that Xanthic means yellow and we have plenty of yellow fruits and veggies available.
So, here is my list of A to Z items available at the Bluegrass Farmers' Market this week...
