Celebration Saturday at the Bluegrass Farmers' Market!
This weekend is a time to celebrate. We get to bust out the red, white and blue and enjoy our freedom by watching parades, smiling at firework displays and eating summertime favorites at picnics. Yup, it's the 4th of July or Independence Day! A day to celebrate our wonderful country and the people that make it so great. That means the folks who work hard to provide us all with the one thing we all need...food! And, there's no better way to show how much we appreciate the farmers than to support them by buying locally grown, raised or produced food. The Bluegrass Farmers' Market is Lexington's largest 100% homegrown/produced farmers market. That means that our farmers actually grew the fruits and veggies, raised the cattle, baked the breads, made the jams and nothing has been purchased for resale! We guarantee it, it's the way a farmers market should be.
Okay, I can't think of anything better on my July 4th picnic table than fresh grilled corn, sliced tomatoes and a juicy burger! Guess what? We have all of it available...yes, we have the season's first corn!!! But that's not all we have...here's a bit of what will be available at our two markets this Saturday.

We'll be set up in the beautiful tree lined parking lot of Pedal the Planet and Fast Signs, right next door to the Glenn Auto Mall on Richmond Rd. It's just a hop, skip and a jump outside of Man 'O War Blvd. Parking is right there so you don't have to drive around hunting for a spot to park. The parking lot is also paved and that makes it very stroller and wheelchair friendly!

We'll be set up in the shopping center with plenty of free parking. Look for us near the corner of Boston Rd. and Man 'O War Blvd.
