Bluegrass Farmers Market

Boy oh boy, last Saturday was certainly an ordeal for our farmers...the wind was unbelievable! And, then the bluegrass got hit with tornadoes and hail. Mother Nature sure wanted us to know that fall had arrived! Let's hope that tomorrow is a wee bit better. :)

We still have three more weeks of the 2014 market season left...we're open through October 25^th! And, there is still plenty of homegrown goodness available. This week you'll be able to find tomatoes, green beans, peppers, summer and winter squash, lettuce mixes, okra, pumpkins, eggplant and maybe even some kale at the Richmond Rd. market. Don't forget the home baked goods, herb seasoning, hand crafted soaps, beer cheese, beef, pork and poultry too! And, how about some fruit and pepper jams or seven bean soup mix! All of this goodness brought to you by these farmer members...McMaine's Riverhaven Farm, Caludi's Fields, On Tapp Dairy, Herb'n Renewal, Double Dip Beer Cheese and Kelly's Kobe Beef & Herman's Happy Hogs...who are running some great specials this week!

Unfortunately the hail storm wiped out Clark Farms crops so they are finished for the season at the Azur Restaurant & Patio market location. But, I do think the the folks from My Ole Kentucky Soap and maybe Caludi's Fields will be there tomorrow!

And, you never know what surprises you might find at either market...come visit and see for yourself. We'll be there rain or shine! :)

We'll be set up in the parking lot of our sponsors, Pedal the Planet and Fast Signs. It's just a hop, skip and a jump outside of Man 'O War Blvd. Parking is right there so you don't have to drive around hunting for a spot to park. The parking lot is also paved and that makes it very stroller and wheelchair friendly! And, we love seeing your four-legged friends!

Our farmers will be set up in the parking lot and possibly the patio of AZUR Restaurant & Patio. Beaumont Centre is just outside new Circle Rd. off of Harrodsburg Rd.
