Bluegrass Farmers Market

This Saturday is going to be a busy one for the local Lexington food lovers! It's the “Follow the Food Farm Tour” day. And, we are happy to say that the Bluegrass Farmers' Market, Richmond Rd. location, will be one of the venues on the tour. We'll have some samples, homegrown treats for the kids and plenty of homegrown goodness available. The Fayette County Extension Master Gardener Program will have folks on hand to answer your gardening and tour questions. We are also proud to say that one of our members, Botanica, is on the tour. Stop by the market and then head out Richmond Rd. to Vicki's farm. Heck, don't stop there with the proud member stuff...Grimes Mill Winery will be celebrating their second anniversary! By the way, if you have been to the market in the past few weeks, surely you have noticed the great music coming from the Two Old Troubadours! They'll be at the Grimes Mill Winery celebration from 3 until 5...rain or shine! On top of all of this excitement, your friendly author of the blogs turns 65 on Saturday! lol  I say we all celebrate the localness! :)

We'll be set up in the beautiful tree lined parking lot of Pedal the Planet and Fast Signs, right next door to the Glenn Auto Mall on Richmond Rd. It's just a hop, skip and a jump outside of Man 'O War Blvd. Parking is right there so you don't have to drive around hunting for a spot to park. The parking lot is also paved and that makes it very stroller and wheelchair friendly!
