Harvest time is coming soon and can't wait to use my new All American Pressure/Cooker Canner. I have never used one of these before, but am anxious to do so. Plan  on doing lots of canning this yr.

Almost time to break out the tiller and get those seeds started I sure am ready for summer this yr. Been a long hard winter here in Indiana this year. Already had a flood in 2011. Got some of my cockcomb seeds wet. Plenty left to sell though  Am  running out of fresh corn from last yr. It sure was good this past winter.

Thanksgiving is on the way and so is cold weather soon. Not ready for it.

The october mornings are getting chilly. My favorite time of the yr. but don't like what comes next. Beautiful fall colors and the smell of autumn in the air. Mums and pumpkins galore. God does good work.

As dry as it has been this summer here in Indiana my cockcomb flowers turned out to be huge. Some were as tall as I with the stalks about 2-3" around. I will have plenty of seed next yr. We are getting some rain today. Praise the Lord.

The county fair is here and I live across the street from the park that host it every year. Lots of noise and excitement going on. A good time for kids to show their stuff. Good luck to all.

I made 14 pints of bread & butter pickles yesterday. Having so many cucumbers from just one vine, I had to do something with them besides eating them straight from the garden, giving them away.

I am still canning green beans and now have lots of cucumbers for bread and butter pickles. My work has picked up for 2 weeks now so don't have as much time for canning. I will next wk.

Can't wait for good tomatoes to come on and fresh corn.

Yes, still having health issues this yr. but am improving. I have alot of cockcomb seeds planted and will have a good crop of heads this year.

I did get 30 quarts of green beans canned yesterday. It felt good to get back into the swing of harvest time.

It has been a very long time since I blogged here because of health issues. Had to get rid of most animal here at Hoosierfarm, but want to keep up with this part of it all. My thanksgiving turkey was awesome. Can't due it this year yet, maybe next.

My goat had a baby after she was sold and they sent me a pic of her. Very cute.

When things start looking up healthwise perhaps I can get them back. Doing flower seeds right now. Cockcomb seeds galore this fall. Some to sell I'm hoping.

Have gotten my Thanksgiving turkey processed and ready to go. She weighted in at about 25-28 lbs. Can’t wait to see what she taste like. This is my first year of doing my own bird.

So much to be thankful for. Sometimes I think this world is falling apart but I put my trust in God and he supplies my needs.

God is good all the time and all the time God is good.
