It is half way thru April and spring is here tax time near Easter has come and gone lawns being mowed and flowers are blooming. Our greenhouse is running full with sprouting seeds and transplants broccoli, tomato, cabbage and kale also with onion set, snow peas and radishes planted in the field. The garlic has had it’s first hilling and spring garlic is getting ready to be dig and set home with our CSA members on there first pickup in about three weeks. Asparagus is popping up wish we would have a warm shower to bring up the ground temperature to loosen the soil for tilling. Here are a few pictures from inside the greenhouse now that the sun shines thing are much greener.
It's Sunday February 7th. and we are trying to set up a new greenhouse for our seedlings a 30 x 36 but the weather just does not want to help. Rain then cold a freezing wind now about a foot of snow but we have the base in so the rest should start to go up faster. The plastic needs to have a day with no wind working with a double plastic in a wind makes it a challenge.
We are starting our leek. onions, herbs and cool weather seeds hope to have more sun for our in door lettuce not good for harvesting for of the slow growth.
